Excellent, friendly service. Very knowledgeable about the surroundings and the city and helpful with any questions I had. As others have said, Liliana is an absolute sweetheart. I was feeling a little unwell during my stay so I was very grateful for her positive spirit, as well as her deep knowledge of Veracruz's rich musical and cultural heritage. It was fascinating to learn about the roots of Son Jarocho etc during chats with her. The apartment is a couple of blocks away from the main hostel, right in the Huaca district. The surroundings are a little rustic, but you are surrounded by families, so there is a safe feel to it. Also it's a historical district for musicians and artists so there are murals as well as a real community feel.
i stayed at this hotel for 3 months and it really changed my travel experience.what began as a simple stay became a home full of stories, meaning full conversations and genuine friends. being here made me see with anothers eyes the beautiful port of Veracruz. and although i arrived alone as a guest, i am leaving as part of the chuchumbe family. mathew and claudia could not have been more helpful for me and my dog aussie.
The room was fantastic (and had AC), and everyone who works here is so nice! We especially loved Lily, she was extremely kind and helpful in every way imaginable!

Excellent location close to the water with amazing restaurants and bars nearby. Walking distance to the historic district and market. The staff are very friendly and available always willing to help. Highly recommend.

I’ve enjoyed my stay at this location. The neighborhood is fun, safe, and comfortable to move around in. The staff is chill, helpful, and the old building is regularly kept up with and serviced. This is an excellent stay for first time Veracruz visitors!
